As you all know the Gasparilla Parade is this Saturday. The Tampa EOC will be activated. We will have an informal net running from about 1000 to about 1900 (7:00 P.M.). We will not be making net calls, just monitoring. If you are going to the parade then take your HT with you. If you see something that needs to be reported then you can call it in. If something comes up I may make a call for any information anyone out there might be in a position to provide. Otherwise the net will be pretty silent. Actually if you are near the parade route you will probably have trouble hearing your radio anyway.
The frequency is 146.940 – offset and a tone of 146.2.
If you don’t know how to program your radio for that then you need to come to our communication workshop on the third Wednesday each month. It is at the Hillsborough County EOC at 2711 E Hanna.
